The familiar CurbPay ISO VX680 handheld terminal does NOT rely on a Bluetooth connection and does NOT require your mobile phone data to operate. It works completely independently of your mobile as we provide all the data you need at no additional cost.
INTEGRATED RECEIPT PRINTER
A receipt offers your customers great reassurance in purchasing from you. If they need a printed record to claim expenses, your ISO VX680 will be able to give them just that. Receipts also provide the perfect audit trail for your own accounting and record-keeping.
USING YOUR CURBPAY VX68O TERMINAL
SWITCHING YOUR TERMINAL ON
Turn your terminal on by pressing the green ENTER key until an image is displayed. The terminal will switch on and display the logon screen within a few seconds.
Login by entering your User ID and PIN. To delete an inputting error, press the yellow key. If the terminal is connected to a charger, it will automatically switch on.
SWITCHING YOUR TERMINAL OFF
Press and hold the red key for around five seconds. Your terminal will then beep and shut down.
USING YOUR TERMINAL
Your terminal can be used via the keypad or the touchscreen. To select an option, touch the screen or press the number indicated on the keypad.
When entering the amount, the decimal point is automatically
inserted so enter the total in pence.
eg: For £23.45 enter 2345
MAKING A TRANSACTION
Select Option 1 NEW TXN followed by Option 1 PURCHASE.
Enter the amount and press the green ENTER key.
Hand the terminal to your customer. They will be presented with the transaction confirmation screen which displays the amount to be debited from their account. The customer should then press the green ENTER key to confirm.
They will then be prompted to tap, insert or swipe their card (black stripe must face the terminal).
CHIP & PIN AND MOBILE TRANSACTIONS
When using a Chip & PIN card, the customer should enter their PIN when prompted, and then press the green ENTER key. Contactless and mobile transactions up to £45 do not require PIN verification.
The first receipt will print. Remove the card and check there is an Auth Code printed on the first receipt. Tear off your receipt and press the green ENTER key. Now tear off the second receipt and hand it to the customer.
If either receipt shows DECLINED, obtain an alternative method of payment.
MAGNETIC SWIPE TRANSACTIONS
When a card has been swiped, make sure you obtain a signature from the customer in the space indicated on the first receipt.
Confirm it matches the card then select 1. YES.
If the signature does not match, select 2. NO – the red X.
PROCESSING A REFUND
Select Option 1 NEW TXN then select Option 2 REFUND.
Enter the full amount to be refunded. The refund then works in exactly the same way as a normal payment.
UNABLE TO CONNECT TO SERVER
If you are in an area with a poor signal, the message ‘UNABLE TO
CONNECT TO SERVER’ may be displayed, and you will be given
The terminal will try and reconnect to the network.
You may be able to authorise the transaction without communicating with the bank. To manually submit a transaction completed offline follow the steps below:

Select Option 1 TXN MANAGEMENT then...
Select Option 2 SUBMIT TRANSACTION
Cancels the transaction.
To access ‘Reports’ on your terminal, follow these three simple steps:

Select Option 1 REPORTS
IT PAYS TO KNOW...
If you have any stored offline transactions, enter 212 before you turn
off your terminal to ensure they are submitted for processing.
CHANGING THE PAPER ROLL
Periodically you will need to change the paper roll in your VX680 payment system.
1. Gently lay the VX680 on its front and pull up the clip to expose the paper roll compartment
2. Remove the old roll and replace, ensuring that the new roll feeds from the bottom - the new roll just sits in the compartment.
